Turn the camera between the river and the forest (northeast), and run along the river on the right bank (Figure 1). After 30-50 conditional meters you will find shallow water, cross the river, and continue running along it on the left bank (Figure 2). Run along the river until you find a tent camp on the left the camp is located there and the entrance to the cave (fig. 3). In front of the entrance to the cave lies a subject - a photograph.# **Actions inside the cave:** After entering the cave, run forward along a narrow passage, you will have to come to a fork (fig. 4). Turn right, and carefully jump down. Then keep to the left wall, and go down the cable. This is where the danger zone begins, and it's important to do everything quickly and accurately. Pick up the chainsaw, to the right of it are 2 cans of fuel (fig. 5). Next, pick up explosives, and run along the left wall until you come to a handkerchief camp (Fig. 6). There will be several aborigines near it, fight or run past is your business. Continue along the right wall until you find a part of the wall with a dynamite marker. At this point, set fire to dynamite, and stick under this wall. After the explosion, go crouching in the small passage that has turned out, and go down the rope 2 times in a row. Take the cartridges and the second story picture, then go forward and enter the narrow passage of the next cave (Fig. 7). Go forward until you see the descent. There will be a projector in front that shines on an ice axe stuck in the wall (Figure 8). There are several aborigines below, and it's up to you to fight or run past. After taking the ice axe, climb back onto the cable you just came down from. ### The way back: After you have climbed the cable, go ahead and go through a narrow gap again, into another cave. Go ahead, climb the rope 2 times in a row. Go through the small passage of the blown-up wall, and run along the left wall until you return to the cutting area (Fig. 5). Go further and climb the cable up. Go ahead and climb the wall with an ice axe. Go on, turn left at the fork (fig. 4). Go ahead until you come to the exit of the cave.## Chainsaw: Full review - A chainsaw is a tool for mass deforestation and a situational but extremely aggressive melee weapon. It runs on gasoline and requires regular refueling, but its efficiency in log mining is second to none. #### Resource extraction - The chainsaw is extremely effective at chopping down trees and instantly removes stumps after cutting. It is the best tool for log mining during the construction of large bases. Fuel consumption during logging is moderate — one canister is enough for a dozen or two trees. #### Combat use - The chainsaw has relatively little damage per hit, but it is offset by the fastest attack speed in the game. To attack, you need to hold the LMB — stamina is not spent. In a one-on-one duel, an ordinary aborigine has no chance: the chainsaw simply does not give him the opportunity to launch an attack. However, in a fight with several opponents, it is easy to interrupt the attack with a blow — be careful. The chainsaw does not allow you to block damage, so active evasion remains the only defense. It is also worth noting that when using a chainsaw with a very high chance, the character gets the status of "bloody". #### Food and refueling - There is a dial on the body of the chainsaw with an indicator of the level of gasoline that is consumed during use. When the red arrow arcs to the left, the fuel runs out and the tool stops working. Gasoline cans are used for refueling. They can be found in cannibal villages (for example, near Goose Lake, the main village of the Aborigines), in other aboriginal settlements, as well as in caves — including near the chainsaw itself. #### Modernization - The chainsaw allows for one improvement: you can attach a flashlight to it using **flashlight + chainsaw + electrical tape**. This makes it much easier to use the instrument in dark caves or at night. #### Additional advice - A chainsaw is not the best choice against mutants with a high health reserve (for example, handlers or virginians). They are not stunned as easily as ordinary Aboriginals and can interrupt your attack. Use the chainsaw to massively sweep weak enemies or pair with more powerful weapons to finish them off. And always carry a spare canister with you — it is extremely unpleasant to be left without fuel in the depths of the cave.## Ice Axe: full review - The ice axe performs two key functions: moving on vertical surfaces and close combat. It is indispensable when exploring caves with special climbing walls, but it has serious limitations in combat and upgrades. #### Movement - The ice axe allows you to climb special climbing walls that are found in caves. Such walls usually look flat, have a different color from other surfaces, and are often accompanied by climbing ropes that serve as a visual reference. When approaching such a wall, the corresponding icon appears — use an ice axe by clicking the interaction button (by default **E**). #### Combat use - As a weapon, the ice axe does little damage, but it compensates for this with a high attack speed — about the level of a katana or machete. It can be useful against fast and weak enemies, such as skinny Aborigines. The ice axe is suitable for chopping limbs from the corpses of aborigines, but it cannot cut down trees functionally. #### General assessment - An ice axe is a highly specialized tool that should not be considered as the main weapon. Its main value is access to new areas of the map and caves. In combat, it is inferior to most alternatives, but it can help out in situations where you need to quickly attack a weak opponent. #### Additional advice - The ice axe cannot be upgraded — no improvements (cloth, poison, shards) have any effect on it. Keep it in your inventory as a pass key, not as your primary means of protection. When exploring new caves, always check the walls for ropes and flat surfaces — there may be a hidden passage.
