## Location 1: Snowy Cliff Peak (Northern Part of the Map) One of the most beautiful locations on the map. You're standing on a snowy cliff with a panoramic view of the entire island. At night, the snow reflects light, so it's not completely dark. You'll regularly see the northern lights — a sight worth building a base here at least once. Sunsets here are breathtakingly beautiful. **Features:** - There's a hang glider at the top. You can fly from here to any point on the map. - There's a slope, meaning you'll spend very few logs on a fence on one side. - There's a tent campsite on the territory. Its resources (soda, chocolate bars, supplies) respawn after each reload (if enabled in difficulty settings). An excellent way to farm supplies. - You can transport logs using the rope gun — there's a forest below where you can send logs up. **Problems:** - Food is scarce. Animals are rare, and birds don't come here. - No water at all. You'll need to place many water collectors (3-4 of them). - Plants grow here but don't bear fruit — it's too cold. **Verdict:** A location for aesthetes and hang gliding enthusiasts. If you're willing to deal with food and water problems, the view is worth it. Suitable for a medium-sized base.## Location 2: Flat Meadow by the River (Central Part, Near Starting Caves) A good, flat spot for a medium-sized base. Very picturesque: animals roam around, birds sing. Located on a slope, which saves logs on one side of the fence. **Features:** - There are graves on the territory. Loot respawns in them after reload — you can collect ropes and cloth (if enabled in difficulty settings). - There's a river nearby. It doesn't freeze in winter, you can fish and transport logs in it. - Forest around — plants yield fruit, berries, mushrooms. - Close to starting caves and first bunkers. **Resources:** - Water: river year-round. - Food: fish, deer, rabbits, birds. You can set animal traps. - Wood: enough trees around. **Verdict:** One of the best spots for a first proper base. No critical downsides, everything is within walking distance. Recommended for beginners. ## Location 3: Southwest Beach (Near the Tents and Machete) One of the best beaches for a base. A huge flat area — you can build a house of any size. The sand is light, so enemies are very visible at night. **Features:** - The ocean is on one side and doesn't freeze in winter. No fence needed on this side. - Very close, to the west, there's a tent campsite. Supplies (including engineering ones) lie there, respawning after reload (if enabled in difficulty settings). The machete is there too — you can take it right away. - Turtles crawl onto the beach — both food and crafting material (turtle shells for water collectors and a few structures). - Seagulls constantly circle — meat and feathers. - The forest is a bit farther away, but logs can be delivered with the rope gun. **Resources:** - Water: only water collectors (but turtle shells are right here). - Food: turtles, seagulls, fish, plus animals in the forest behind the beach. - Wood: you need to go toward the forest or deliver via ropes. **Verdict:** An ideal spot for a large base with friends. Close to starting caves, has everything you need. Recommended. ## Location 4: Massive Flat Area by a Cliff (Near Beach #3) A remarkable, huge location. The area is flat and spacious — you can build anything. One side is completely covered by a tall cliff (70+ meters), so no fence is needed there. **Features:** - You can climb the cliff with the rope gun, or by going around the other side. From the top, you have a view of the map — you can fly a hang glider almost anywhere (like in Location 1). - You can attach a rope to the top of the cliff with the rope gun — convenient and fast to ride up and down. - There are lakes on both sides of the area. You can collect water in summer, but only soda in winter. - Raccoons roam around, especially near the lakes. Also deer, squirrels, birds. - The location is very beautiful in the morning — the cliff is lit up by the sun. **Problems:** - The lakes freeze in winter. You'll need to either stock soda or go far for water. - Birds don't come to birdhouses for some reason (possibly a bug, but it is what it is). **Verdict:** An excellent spot for a large base in the mid-to-late game. The cliff provides protection and fast travel around the map.## Location 5: Cliff with Ocean View and Two Yachts (Western Part of the Map) An interesting spot in the west of the map. Not suitable for the start of the game due to its distance from key caves and bunkers. But if you've already completed the main story or are seeking solitude — it's an excellent option. **Features:** - One side is a cliff with an ocean view. No fence needed, plus it's beautiful. - At the bottom of the cliff is a beach with two abandoned yachts. Inside — supplies that respawn on reload. You can regularly go down for free loot. - There's a natural path down the cliff to the sea (about 50 meters high). No need to jump or build stairs. - There's a small body of water nearby. - Squirrels and raccoons run around. **Verdict:** A beautiful remote spot for those who want peace and solitude. The beach below the cliff is also worth attention — you could build two bases: one up top and one below.## Location 6: Golf Course (Northwestern Part of the Map) This was a former golf course, so the territory is huge, flat, and clean. The ground is already compacted, nothing needs clearing. An ideal spot for a large base in the late stages of the game. **Features:** - Nearby is a heart-shaped lake — a cute detail. You can collect water from it. - On one side, a cliff with an ocean view — no fence needed, plus aesthetics. - Deer, squirrels, and sometimes moose roam around. Birds sing. - Very beautiful sunrises and sunsets. - The location is closer to the final bunkers and caves than to the starting ones. Perfect for endgame. **Problems:** - Critically little forest around. You'll either have to haul logs with the rope gun (max range 150 meters) or wait for forest regeneration (trees grow back over time). **Verdict:** A wonderful spot for the late game. Beautiful, spacious, with water and food. The forest is the only downside, but it can be solved with the rope gun. ## Location 7: Forest Clearing by a Lake (Northern Part of the Map, Close to the Katana Bunker) An excellent spot in the northern part of the map. A small lake and river nearby, surrounded by forest. Close to the final bunkers and caves, so it's good for the second half of the game. **Features:** - A cliff saves logs on one side of the fence. - The spot is spacious, suitable for a medium base. - Around you: rabbits, skunks, squirrels, raccoons, moose, and deer — plenty of food. - Water in the lake and river. The river doesn't freeze in winter. - Near the katana bunker. Many golf carts around the bunker. - Beautiful view of sunset and sunrise. - Useful plants and berries grow around. - Plenty of forest — no problems with wood. **Verdict:** One of the best spots for forest lovers. It has everything: water, food, wood, beautiful views, proximity to useful bunkers. Recommended. ## Location 8: Eastern Cliff with Ocean View A location in the eastern part of the map. A cliff with an ocean view, a lake nearby, forest around. A very quiet and secluded spot. **Features:** - The cliff saves one fence wall. - A nearby lake has fish. - Lots of animals around: skunks, raccoons, deer, squirrels. - Slightly to the east, there are two large tents with supplies. Resources respawn on reload. - Lots of fly agaric mushrooms and large stones — you can collect mushrooms and use stones for building. - Slightly to the west, there's a native camp. You can raid it for resources. **Verdict:** A quiet, secluded spot for those who want a peaceful life. Everything you need is nearby, plus you can farm the native camp.## Location 9: Cliff Overlooking a Large Lake (Southern Part of the Map) The ninth location boasts a beautiful view of a large lake. One fence wall isn't needed — a natural cliff above the entrance to one of the caves and above the lake. **Features:** - Squirrels, moose, deer, skunks, raccoons run around. - The area is fairly flat, suitable for a large or medium base. - Located in the southern part of the map — relatively close to the starting caves. - No problems with food or water: the lake is nearby, and there are many animals. - Dark sunrise and a very beautiful sunset. The view from the cliff is mind-blowingly beautiful. **Verdict:** An excellent spot for starting out or for a medium base. Beautiful view, everything you need nearby, close to the early caves. Recommended for settling.Location 1: Snowy Cliff Peak (Northern Part of the Map) One of the most beautiful locations on the map.
